Healthcare - providers must explain the same concept hundreds of times and their delivery can be inconsistent - and can contribute to physician burnout - sometimes repeating same explanation over again to family - give patients explanation before face to face meeting - time to get familiar with medical content - chance to prepare themselves for visit and ask any questions they may have - chance to go back as many times as they need - patients are often anxious in a medical environment and retain little of what is said - limited time to process large amounts of info -
